Uttarakhand: A major accident involving the crew of Bobby Deol’s upcoming web series ‘Aashram 4’ was narrowly avoided in Tehri district. A tourist bus carrying around 20 members of the shooting team reportedly suffered a sudden brake failure on a hilly route. However, the driver’s quick thinking helped prevent a major tragedy.
The incident took place near Tachila-Bemar on the Rishikesh-Chamba road. According to reports, the Jaipur-registered tourist bus was carrying members associated with the shooting of ‘Aashram 4’. The vehicle was moving on a steep downhill stretch when the brakes suddenly stopped working, creating panic among the passengers.
Driver Used Presence of Mind to Stop Bus
After the brake failure, driver Shahid Ali managed to keep control of the vehicle despite the difficult mountain terrain. With the bus moving towards an unsafe direction, he carefully turned it towards a roadside drain.
The bus dragged along the drain and gradually came to a halt. The driver’s decision prevented the vehicle from falling into a deep gorge and saved everyone onboard from a possible disaster.
All Crew Members Safe After Incident
No major injuries have been reported in the accident. After the bus stopped, all passengers were safely evacuated and later sent ahead with the help of other vehicles arranged by the production team.
The crew members appreciated driver Shahid Ali’s courage and quick decision-making, saying his alertness played a crucial role in avoiding a serious accident.
